Some people are starting to catch onto the role of... →
This is why I went back to grad school.
Old
I’m working on developing an iPhone app for 6th graders and made a suggestion about a paper route theme. Not only are papers dead, but i don’t think a 6th grader’s had a paper route since before this group was born. 1998. Sheesh.
I hate diet pop
But Diet Dr. Pepper is pretty good. In my new lose weight through better eating scheme, this will be my “go to” carbonated sugar water.
The Science of Watchmen Video →
Kakalios also wrote The Physics of Superheroes.
marrina:
University of Minnesota physics professor James Kakalios was hired as a science consultant on Watchmen and now with the release just a few weeks away, Kakalios has put together this short video talking about various scientific aspects of the film.
I'm just gonna put my head down
And do what I’m supposed to do and what’s best for me and my teams. Ain’t nothing I can do or say that’ll change anyone’s mind or position, especially at the top.
Ugh, it's pledge week.
My delicate morning routine is out of balance.
Don't follow.
Following someone else’s agenda is a bad idea. Even worse when the person leading you in battle is bitter, angry and looking to stir shit up because of their general unhappiness. Do your own thing. Go your own way. Work within the structure you’re given and then bust out of it at the top. This business is built on opinion’s and some are better than others, but then it all depends...
That's enough of that
Well, I got fair trashed on Friday and did/said a lot of dumb things; none of which I’m proud of. Lately I don’t seem to have an off switch and that tells me there’s a bigger problem at hand. Taking a step back and looking at it with a wide lens, it’s in my best interest to quit drinking altogether and focus on more positive things - school, relationships, the future, my...

Paul's Boutique Turns 20 →
You’re goddamn right!
fimoculous:
Paul’s Boutique is 20 years old, Pitchfork remembers with a 10.0 review.
The Return of the Song Poem →
WFMU is starting to post all the song poems that used to be on the American Song Poem Music Archives (is there a European one? I think it’s strictly an American art form.) If you’ve never gotten into the high weirdness of song poems, this is your chance.
The idea was that you could write some lyrics and send them into a mail order production house. Studio shysters would put your...
Brad Pitt's "Inglourious Basterds" Trailer (VIDEO) →
Guess I know where I’ll be August 21.
marrina:
Eeach and every man under my command owes me 100. Nazi. scalps.
Kill Your iTunes Library
I did about a month ago. It’s taken me a while, but I’m starting to find all sorts of new musicians I dig. Eilen Jewell and Ted Russell Kamp (sorry for the autoplay - someone needs to talk to their labels about that) are the standouts so far.
My ol’ pals the Roe Family Singers have a new CD out too. Fine stuff. White Horse is my favorite.
Waiting to find the new Dex Romweber.
This is why you're fat. →
But sooo delicious.
marrina:
This is SO disgusting…
Shepard Fairey →
Not his first time, I’m sure, but c’mon.
fimoculous:
First the AP accuses him of copyright infringement on the Obama poster, now Shepard Fairey is in jail for tagging.
All those cool fake book covers →
Urgh
Me no likee programming.
Tired of the old theme
Going to the default until I find something I like better.
